In It Together: Follow Up to "My Testimony"

Updated: Jan 5, 2021

To read the series of posts I'm referring to here, start here.

Wow. This last week has been crazy. I know that those last seven posts were quite a lot to take in, and the story was a lot to take in. What you don’t know, but what I want you to know, is how much editing, reviewing, reading, re-reading, re-working, filling in, moving around etc., was behind the scenes.

I want you to know, and it may not have been very clear, is that I even though I was mentioned in the story, I was actually helping write out the story.

I spent most of each day for the past week editing and smoothing the content that Baier had typed out. Hours upon hours upon hours of our time have been poured out into the process, and it has truly been a labor of love.

The editing process was long and drawn out and grueling because we spent an enormous amount of time making sure that to what you read is what God wanted you to read, nothing more and nothing less.

So in truth, everything that was said, we were led to write to you. It’s not my story, but I’m in it. I felt it was important for you to know that I had just as much of a part in telling it to you as Baier did. We spent many hours plucking out content and giving you the best of the best of the best.

The story you’ve read may be about Baier, but it’s actually God’s story. That’s crucial for you to know. Baier and I are in this together, and everything the story tells you about the way that we live and believe and follow – it’s true. It’s absolutely true. We’re not ashamed of it. Sometimes we look at ourselves and think that we have crazy stupid faith in order to choose to follow something that rarely makes logical sense.

But you’ve read the story... hopefully you see what we see: that God has done enough to prove who He is. He gets all the credit for the plan, the execution, and the ovation. We’re just tools.
